Torres and Fabregas get Spain nod

May 20, 2010 No Comments by BestBetAdvice

Spain have included Fernando Torres and Cesc Fabregas in their 23-man squad as they go in search of World Cup glory (4/1 in bet365 outright market).

Torres is battling to be fit after undergoing surgery on his knee and even though he is struggling to make the opening game against Switzerland there was never any question over whether he would be included.

The Liverpool marksman is 12/1 with bet365 to finish the tournament as leading goalscorer, while his striker partner David Villa, who is Barcelona bound, is 8/1 favourite.

Fabregas, who could also be heading for Barcelona, is recovering from a leg injury but should be fit for the opening game.

Diego Lopez and David De Gea, defender Cesar Azpilicueta, midfielders Marcos Senna and Santi Cazorla, plus forwards Dani Guiza and Alvaro Negredo are all noticeable absentees, while uncapped trio Victor Valdes, Pedro Rodriguez and Javi Martinez all make it.
